Choose an image that has stright lines or a recognizable form (building, person, car, trees, etc.)
Compose print, but DO NOT use an easel, 8” x 10” format works best.
Make a test strip, read in classroom light.
Cut an 8” x 10 “rectangle from white scrap paper. With enlarger light on so you can see the image, manipulate paper by curving sides and edges. Determine what looks best, then tape scrap paper into place using boxe as supports.
Make NEW test strips at different levels to determine exposure time. Exposure time will most likely vary, so you will have to dodge & burn to even out value.
Tape photo paper on top of scrap paper, or have a friend hold paper in place.
