Instructions: 1. Divide a piece of paper into 9 equal squares using light pencil lines and a ruler 11" x 14" sketchbook size paper - each box should be approximately 3.5" x 4.5" ( will have a little left over on the right side and bottom) 8.5" x 11" copy paper - each box should be approximately 2.75" x 3.5 ( will have a little left over on the right side and bottom) 2. Choose an object to draw. It should not be overly simple in shape, like a cell phone. Pick something that has different shapes and details. 3. Draw a part of the object on each box, varying the view (see examples below) You may crop as close as you like. You can even have some boxes closer up than others. 4. Add contrast to the drawing You may shade the drawings of make the background black and keeping object white or a line drawing.
