Choose an interesting section of your front or backyard. If possible, try to draw from life (drawing while looking at it). If not, take a good photograph of it at the angle you think looks the best. You can alter your point of view by kneeling down or standing on something to get a different perspective, be creative!
Your drawing must include texture and detail, especially to differentiate between nature and man made things (your house, fence etc). You don't have to shade, but vary line weight to show depth of space. If you have any perspective in our view, please remember the RULES of PERSPECTIVE! Do this assignment in your sketchbook. You can use color if you have the materials, or just leave it black and white with shading or a line drawing with thicker and thinner lines. You can use a regular pencil, pen, or marker.
